Why Do I Blog?

It seemed fitting for me to start with my why.  Why blog?  Here are a few questions I asked myself.

  1. In a world full of bloggers, why would I start a blog?
  2. With many successful, well-known bloggers talking, why would I choose to join the conversation?
  3. Why would people want to read (and continue reading) my blogs?

In a world full of bloggers, why would I start a blog?  Well, it may sound super spiritual, but the honest truth is–the Lord.  Not to mention I sincerely love to encourage people.  I started this blogging website only because I wanted to come alongside you in your life…in the good times and bad in hopes to encourage, console, strengthen, exhort, and stir you up in your faith.  I see so much encouragement in the Bible, it is a gift I have been given, and I want to share with anyone who needs it.  So here I am.

With many successful well-known bloggers talking, why would I choose to join the conversation?  The is an intimidating one but, necessary.  Yes, there are many incredible, talented, gifted, and much more experienced people (than I) sharing in blogs–however, my story and the encouragement I will share is just that, mine.  I believe I can encourage you through my life, in a way,  that only I can. I look at it this way.  No matter how much you love a store, restaurant, movie, or vacation place, it still is nice to have some variety.  Right?  So, think of me as the variety (ha ha ha).   So the conversation I desire to add to this populated world of bloggers is this, to encourage anyone who needs it.

Why would people want to read (or continue reading) my blogs?  My answer to this question is probably obvious–to be encouraged.  We all go through hard things in life or at different seasons of our lives, and it hurts.  We seek relief, help, or hope any place we can.  So I desire to share the encouragement I find from the Bible, that has helped me, so that whoever is seeking for relief, help, or hope can read my blogs and be consoled, receive strength, and even be stirred up in their faith.  This is my hope, my desire, and prayer for all who come and read my blogs.
